Education runs through everything on my platform
. . . but it starts with my own story.
My career began in special education, teaching students with disabilities. I later moved into the private sector as a corporate trainer, led the opening of a school for drug and alcohol counselors, and finished my career as the de facto Chief Learning Officer supporting more than 20,000 employees.
Education has always been core to who I am and what I believe sustains a healthy democracy.
Since retiring, I've become an avid photographer and an active member of the Democratic Party - serving as President of the Shore Democrats and on the Executive Committees of the 38th Representative District Democratic Committee and the Sussex County Democratic Committee.
Some people ask how long I've lived here before they'll hear me out -
I chose to move to Bethany Beach eight years ago. In that time I've watched neighbors priced out, roads and schools get more crowded, and emergency services stretched thinner. That's not an outsider's view. That's a resident’s perspective.
My first class - I’m the tall one with the beard.
I began my life as the fifth generation of my family.
